GENERAL ANESTHESIOLOGY POSITION

The UCLA Department of Anesthesiology is represented by all anesthesia subspecialties (cardiac, obstetric, neurologic, ophthalmic, pediatric, transplant), pain management and critical care.  Faculty positions in all areas become available periodically.  Appointment in the Clinician – Teacher Academic Professorial Series requires clinical and didactic skills, possession or eligibility for a California Medical License and American Board of Anesthesiology certification, or in process.  Interest or experience in clinical research is desirable.  Appointment in the Regular Professorial Series (Tenure Track) additionally requires evidence of research productivity, scholarly writing and a commitment to discovery.  Appointment as an Associate Professor or Full Professor in either of these series requires demonstration that you have been continuously and effectively engaged in creative activity of high quality and significance. 
 

NEUROSURGICAL ANESTHESIOLOGY POSITION

The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of California Los Angeles seeks an academic anesthesiologist with Neurosurgical Anesthesiology fellowship or equivalent experience. The clinical program offers a broad spectrum of neurosurgical cases (more than 1000 annually). Excellent opportunity for an individual with special interest and expertise in Neurosurgical Anesthesiology to work in a collegial setting where clinical care, research and education are valued. Responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching of residents, fellows and medical students and academic productivity. Appointment in the Clinician-Teacher Academic Professorial Series requires clinical and didactic skills, eligibility for a California Medical License and American Board of Anesthesiology certification (or in progress). Interest or experience in clinical research is desirable. Appointment in the Regular Professorial Series (Tenure Track) additionally requires evidence of research productivity and scholarly writing. Academic rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.
 

OBSTETRICAL ANESTHESIOLOGY POSITION

The University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) Department of Anesthesiology seeks an academic anesthesiologist with Obstetrical Anesthesiology fellowship or equivalent experience.  Appointment in the Clinician-Teacher Academic Professorial Series requires clinical and didactic skills, possession of or eligibility for a California Medical License and American Board of Anesthesiology certification, or in progress. Interest or experience in clinical research is desirable.  Appointment in the Regular Professorial Series (Tenure Track), additionally requires evidence of research productivity, scholarly writing and a commitment to discovery.
