   INTERNATIONAL HEALTHCARE PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS


 

The purpose of this section of the UCLA Department of Anesthesiology website is to provide information about opportunities for faculty and residents to participate in international health care projects.

UCLA Department of Anesthesiology faculty, residents and staff actively participate as volunteers providing assistance, teaching and anesthesia for surgery in underserved areas of the world, including countries in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.

Descriptions of prior missions, details about sponsoring organizations, photographs of international health care environments and contact information for interested parties are provided here.

UCLA Department of Anesthesiology faculty and staff are committed to providing resources, service, new knowledge and training to underserved areas of the world. Our faculty, staff and postgraduate trainees benefit, in turn, by gaining increased cultural awareness and knowledge of global health issues.
