Residency Program Application

The UCLA Department of Anesthesiology Residency Program accepts applicants through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) only. Positions will be matched utilizing the NRMP.

The following are the required supporting application materials to the ERAS Common Application Form:

  • USMLE Transcript (scores)
  • Medical School Transcripts
  • Photograph (will only be viewed if selected to interview)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal Statement
  • Letters of Recommendation (3 minimum, at least 1 from anesthesiology)
  • Dean’s Letter / MSPE

Residency positions are rarely available but vacancies can occur. Interested physicians are asked to contact the Department’s Education Office to determine if applications are being accepted for Clinical Anesthesia positions. Physicians who wish to be considered to fill any Clinical Anesthesia vacancies must have successfully completed an ACGME (http://www.acgme.org) approved internship prior to the planned date of joining the Anesthesiology Residency Program at UCLA.
