The Vondriska Lab at UCLA is using a systems biology approach to investigate how protein interactions determine phenotype. The focus of our research is deconvolution of protein interaction networks in terms of topology (who is talking to whom) and information flow (what are they saying), primarily in the cardiovascular system. Ongoing projects are focused on several families of non-receptor tyrosine kinases in cardiac and vascular cells. We have numerous collaborations within the UCLA research community focused on systems biology, proteomics, and cardiac protection.
