SeungHwa (Sarah) Shin is a Psychology major at UCLA who has taken extensive coursework in biochemistry, organic chemistry and human anatomy prior to joining the Vondriska Lab. She has worked closely with Dr. Sujing Wang on the mouse model of myocardial infarction and has been personally responsible for the histological analysis of cell death in cardiac sections. She has also participated in studies of signal transduction by tyrosine kinases in the heart. These experiences are giving her hands on practical lab experience to aid in her future career as a Dentist.
